Hi, I'm Min Haru. This is where I keep writing my father's wine notebook. Master Seo and my friend Minjae chime in now and then.
When I smell something, the moment I first met that scent comes back whole — the date, the place, even the weather. Any scent I've smelled once, I remember down to the day. What I don't know is which bottle it was that day. That answer lives in Dad's notebook. So after work I head to Bar Suda, run by Dad's old friend Master Seo, and open the bottles again, one by one.
Each post carries Dad's note in two forms: A is his original words, untouched; B is my tidied-up version that's easier to read. The little things that happen at the bar go up on Instagram at @winesuda2026.
The people of Bar Suda
Min Haru — Aspiring sommelier — That's me. I dream of becoming a sommelier, and I'm a genius of smell — any scent I've smelled once, I remember down to the day.
Seo Jin-mok "Master Seo" — Owner of Bar Suda — Owner of Bar Suda and Dad's old friend. Few words, always precise — he sums up each bottle's history and terms in a single paragraph.
Minjae — Wine beginner · Haru's college classmate — My college classmate. New to wine but full of questions, which keeps me studying every time.

Father — Daniel Min — Original author of the notes — Every bottle here starts with Dad's notebook. From 2019 he logged 733 bottles on Vivino, and I carry over his scores, dates and words as they are.
Why
The way Robert Parker scored every wine and compiled the reasoning, I am re-writing every wine I have drunk, one bottle at a time. 733 wines logged so far, 231 of them with notes; new bottles are added as I drink them.
How each article is written
I gather Vivino community data (rating distribution, flavour keywords, averages by vintage, drinking window), Wine-Searcher world prices and critic scores, producer and vintage reports, and Korean import and retail information — then add the original note and a present-day comment.
